This is the UK pressing of Björk’s Big Time Sensuality 12″ single. It was released in 1993 by One Little Indian. I can’t remember but I’m pretty sure I purchased this from eBay. Anyway, it has 4 pretty decent remixes of BTS.

This Hyperballad promo was released by Elektra Records in the US in (probably) 1996. There is no artwork, just a sticker on a white record sleeve (shown above) and the generic Elektra label on the discs themselves. There are 9 remixes on this promo, all are mixes of the song “Hyperballad.” It’s a little much to listen to the whole thing all the way through in one sitting, but there are some good mixes on it.

This is Volta, Björk’s 6th studio album, released in 2007 by Atlantic Records in The United States. The packaging is similar to the UK LP. Two flaps fold and meet at the center, held together with a sticker to form the cover. The inside of the CD, however, is much more simple than the LP. Although, while the LP has an alternative way to open it without removing the sticker, this CD has no such alternative. Once the sticker is removed, the two flaps open to reveal a third flap, folded down from the top, which has a nice picture of Björk on it. This third flap folds out to reveal the disc in the tray beneath it.

This is the Volta Tee Shirt. It was sold at Björk concerts this past year. It may have also been available online, I’m not sure. I bought this shirt at the show at Radio City Music Hall, NY, on 5/2/07. I think there may have been one other Volta shirt for sale but I don’t remember. Actually, now that I think about it, I seem to remeber a red shirt that had the Volta egg shaped figure… thing… on it… you know, that thing that’s on the cover of the record. Anyway, I didn’t really think eather shirt was super awesome, but I liked this one better, dispite it’s ketchup and mustard color scheme. Oh, here’s a close up…

The Hunter Box is a 3 CD, 1 VHS box set for the single “Hunter” from the album Homogenic. There were 5 singles from Homogenic and each one got a box set like this. The CD singles can also be purchased seperately. As you can see, the box is not in very good shape, but the CDs and VHS are fine. I got this used in a Björk lot I won on eBay. Each disc has 3 tracks, usually a remix of “Hunter” or in one case, a rare track. This was released in 1998 by One Little Indian.

The Human Behaviour UK 12″ is, I believe, the first release from Björk as a solo artist (although I may be wrong about that…) coming out in June of 1993 on One Little Indian, just one month before the release of Debut. The single features three remixes of the song.

One Little Indian’s 1997 release of this 12″ single showcases one remix each of the songs “Possibly Maybe” and “Enjoy” both originally from the album Post. This is one of five remix 12″ singles released in June of 1997. They are all filed under “Possibly Maybe” on bjork.com’s discography, though this is the only single in the series that actually has the song on it. All of them have 2 songs, and similar packaging, art on one side and the embossed Björk logo in the upper right corner.

Medúlla was released in 2004 by One Little Indian. It is Björk’s all vocal record. Just about every sound on this record was made with a human voice, then morphed, distorted and arranged as instrumentation for the songs. Notable artists who appear on the album include Mike Patton, Rahzel and Dokaka. I didn’t think very much of this record when it first came out with the exception of a few songs such as “Where Is The Line,” “Who Is It,” and “Oceania” but repeated listening over the years have given me a greater appreciation for the album as a whole.

Simply titled Björk, this is her true debut, released in 1977 on Falkinn Records when she was only 11 years old. It is sung entirely in Icelandic and has what can only be described as a 70′s disco rock band backing her. Most of the songs are very silly to listen to and are unlike anything she’s ever done since (thank god). One (or two?) of the songs was written by Björk and features her on the flute as well. The entire insert is written in Icelandic so it’s hard to tell. One of the highlights of the record is a cover of The Beatle’s The Fool On The Hill, which was not performed in the disco style that most of the other songs were. This record had a very limited pressing back in 1977 and is very hard to find. The copy I have is a bootleg. I know this because, according to björk.com, the bootlegs were marked with “LIMITED EDITION 1000 COPIES” on the back. I have seen colored vinyl versions available online which I presume to also be bootlegs. The record was never issued on CD, so again, any CD version of this is a bootleg.
